Location: Photograph taken during the 34th Annual Gem, Mineral & Jewelry Show hosted by the Macomb County / Mount Clemens Gem & Lapidary Society at the Roseville Recreation Center, 18185 Sycamore road, Roseville, Michigan on April 22nd, 2011.
Description: Sitting in a tray on a dealer's table were these cabochons made out of the mineral variscite (the green color) from Australia. The largest cab was almost three inches in length. The price of these cabochons varied from $20 to $40 each and was based on the size, shape, and aesthetics of the stone's pattern and color. Exactly where in Australia this material came from I don't know, and the information card in the tray didn't say.
